Obituary for Maureen “Reenie” Shandera Maureen “Reenie” Shandera, 85, of Cheyenne passed away July 15, 2018 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. Reenie was born north of Grover, CO on July 13, 1933 to Otto and Millie (Fritzler) Knuppel. Reenie attended country school and graduated from Pine Bluffs High School, and then attended beauty school in Cheyenne.

Reenie married Walter “Bub” Shandera on April 7, 1953 in Pine Bluffs and moved to a farm in Carpenter, where she enjoyed the farming life. She resided there until 2013 when she moved to Cheyenne. She loved her faith, family and farm.

She was an avid Broncos fan. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Pine Bluffs. She is survived by her daughters, Ramona (Vernon) Foster, Becky (Brian) Larson and Kathy Cooney; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a sister, Delores (Nick) Hockersmith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bub; brothers, Dale and William “Bill” Knuppel. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or the Pine Bluffs Historical Society. A Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church with interment of her urn in Pine Bluffs Cemetery.

Services are under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
