John E. Lewis, 87, of Anderson, passed away on February 20, 2019 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on December 9, 1931 in Middletown, IN to Joseph and Flossie Lewis. John graduated from Anderson High School in 1949.

He retired from Delco Remy in 1987 after 39 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. John is survived by his son; Terry (Pam) Lewis, daughters; Teresa (Larry) Van Briggle, Vicki (Sam) Ellingwood, grandchildren; Kimberly (David) Carney, Sam D. (Christina) Ellingwood, Elizabeth (Kevin) Sliwa, Adam Joseph Merritt, seven great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Lewis. Visitation will be held Fall Creek Christian Church in Pendleton on Monday 25, 2019 from 5pm – 7pm with a memorial service to follow. www.
