Obituary for John Edward Lindsay John “Johnny” Lindsay, 62 of West Haven, Connecticut, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018. John was born July 3, 1955 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Plummer and Susie Mae Lindsay. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1974, served in the United States Air force for 6 years.
He was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft over 40 years. John was a father of three and a grandfather of six, he loved his family. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, the shooting range, playing chess and was an avid Redskins fan.
John is survived by: two sons, John Lindsay of East Haven, CT; Jason & daughter-in-law Velee Lindsay of West Haven, CT; daughter, Kara Lindsay & son-in-law Anthony Leone of West Haven, CT; brother, Harry sister-in-law Lena Lindsay of Orange, CT; sisters; Georgette MacCalla of Sunrise, FL; Joan Smith of Stratford CT; former spouse, Denise Lindsay of West Haven CT, six grandchildren, Erica Lindsay, John Lindsay, Destany Lindsay, Janayah Lindsay, Anthony Leone, Jace Lindsay; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 10:am to 11am; A home going service honoring the life of John will proceed all at Gethsemane Church Assembly of God 10 Jetland St. Bridgeport, CT.
