Obituary for John Everett John Everett of Battle Creek passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at home. He was born on June 26, 1943 in Leonardo, New Jersey, the son of Rosco and Evelyn Everett. As a small child, the family moved to Battle Creek.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Everett (Graving), sister Diana Everett, daughter, Cynthia Barbre (Gentry), grandson, Brendan Barbre, granddaughter, Brianna Barbre all of Battle Creek, nephew, Jason Everett of North Carolina, niece, Erin Duncan of Athens, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Robert. John loved to travel, he traveled extensively in the European and Scandinavian countries as well as Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean.

His favorite past time was attending his grandchildren’s sporting and school activities through Lakeview Schools, Shamrock Baseball and Red Line Volleyball, he went to everything. John graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1961. He served in the Army Reserves and retired from Post Cereal after 37 years of working in the printing department and vitamin room.

He enjoyed having a beer with his friends at the Third Base Lounge. He will be truly missed and remembered fondly by his family and many friends. Per John’s request and wishes, no services will be held.
