Obituary for John Melchior John G. Melchior, age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 with his wife by his side. He was born in Appleton, WI on May 20, 1928 to Carl and Gertrude (nee Biese) Melchior. He graduated in 1949 from St. Norbert’s in DePere, WI.

He had a 34 year career at Miller Brewing Company ending with being the Brewing Manager. John was a kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by family and friends. John was proud to be a member of the Master Brewer Association of the Americas and the American Society of Brewing Chemists.

John is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (formerly Herwig); children, John, Beata and Joan (Mohamed Soumah) Melchior and his sister, Mary Jane Heller. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris A. Melchior (nee Schlafke) and daughter Anne Melchior.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the St. Peter Catholic Church (200 E. Washington St. Slinger, WI 53086) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be Monday, May 21st at church from 10:00AM until 11:45AM.

Interment will be at Saint Ambrose Cemetery (Wabeno, WI). In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association (National Processing Center P.O. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22313) or charity of choice.
