Obituary for John M. Goldwater Sr. John M Goldwater, Sr., age 83, passed away on June 4, 2018. John was predeceased by his loving wife of 39 years, Catherine Marie Goldwater and his parents, Harry and Madeline Goldwater, and his eldest brother Harry C Goldwater. He is survived by his children: John Jr. (Shari) Goldwater, Thomas (Cheryl) Goldwater, James Goldwater, and grandchildren: Jeni and Christa.

John is also survived by his younger brother Gary (Sylvia) Goldwater, his aunt; Peggy Knox and many nieces, nephews, and multiple friends. John served in the U.S. Army and was employed at Utica Community Schools for 26 years. He was an active member of St. Matthias Catholic Parish in Sterling Heights.

John was a devoted husband and father. He especially loved spending time with his three boys and working in his yard. He will be remembered for his kindness, compassion and “heart of gold”.

The boys only hope he realized the comfort his “genuineness” brought to them and to all of those he touched. Committal Service will take place on Thursday, June 7, 2018 ~ 11am at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
