John Graham Sr., 103, was born in Macon GA, November 15, 1915, long time resident of Cleveland Ohio, transitioned peacefully from labor to rest, in the early morning of January 28, 2019, at home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter Veralyn. He leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Maggie, his sons, John Jr. (Billie Dee), and Garland, grandchildren, Wyanda and John, his great niece, Cacheryl who was also his end of life caregiver, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.

He served his country during WWII in the army division. He had a diverse skill set and worked more than 50 years utilizing those skills as a self taught truck driver, a skilled laborer at American Agricultural Chemical 20 + years, a welder at FECO 10 + years and Ford Motor Company 20 + years. A devoted family man and excellent provider “Family is everything”.

He was an ordained Deacon, founding member of and faithful servant to his home church Sacrificial Baptist Church. He was generous to a fault. If anyone needed anything and he knew about it, if he had it you got it ( food, shelter, cash, advice, or just a hand up).

He would joyfully help anyone without expecting anything in return. He also loved to travel in his RV. It was common for him to say “ Let’s go…”.

, to wherever near or far, and anyone who wanted to go, was welcome and there was always room. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he really loved going out to eat. “Let’s go eat something…”, and he would always pay!

He really loved animals, especially dogs! The neighborhood creatures ( squirrels, rabbits, birds, deer, ground hogs, etc. ) were not fearful when he was outside on his porch or in the yard, because he would always feed them!

He leaves us here to celebrate his life, with the fond memories, the respect, and the love due to a remarkably awesome man, who touched and left a lasting impression on all that were blessed by his presence in their lives! We miss you already, but take comfort in knowing that you are finally home with the Lord and our loved ones.
