John Jordan was born in Wichita Kansas on September 26, 1952 and was raised in his childhood years in Fort Smith Arkansas. John passed away Monday, October 15, 2018. He was 66 years old.

He will now be joined together with his mother and father, Jesse Louise Owens and Harry L. Jordan Jr., two sisters; Dorothy Ann Jordan and Suzie Owens; two brothers James Bagsby and Freddy Holmes. In a loving memory of John, he was a loving father, friend and grandfather. John worked at City Hall when he moved back to Kansas City.

Later in years he did security work up until his retirement. He also was an honorable Navy Veteran from September 9, 1974 through September 8, 1979. After his retirement from the Navy, he and his previous wife and child moved to Kansas City in 1980, then later entered into the Navy Reserves.

John was always there for his two daughters; Shonda and Sissalee. He will leave to cherish his two daughters and five grandchildren; Jeremiah Mansfield, KaeVion, Kalen, Kennedi, Keasia Davis and his significant other for twenty years, Carolyn Allen; tons of nephews, nieces and cousins. “We Love you and will truly miss you daddy”.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at Lawrence A. Jones Linwood Chapel. Visitation 9:00 a.m. Interment 1:30 p.m. Leavenworth National Cemetery.
