John H. Ridge, 58, of Oglesby, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Prey-Mueller Funeral Home in Oglesby.

John was born on December 3, 1959 in Ottawa, to John W. and Barbara (Chevalier) Ridge. He was a graduate of Earlville High School. John married Debb Angelo on January 29, 2002 in Ottawa.

He was a mechanic for Pipevision in LaSalle. He enjoyed working on… Read More » cars and building derby cars. John also liked going to truck pulls, working in his garage, and going on nightly rides around town in the golf cart with his wife.

John is survived by his parents, John and Barb, his wife, Debb, 6 children, Brandy, Dustin, David, Derek, Blake, and Desarae, 3 grandchildren, Devyn, Hailey, and Kaylin, and 2 sisters, Denise (Mike)Eatmon, and Sue (Ed) Olson. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, a daughter, Ashley, and a nephew Aaron. Memorials may be directed to the family.
