John Henry Poole II, 66, of La Grange passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his home. John loved anything outdoors. From being next to a body of water with his fishing pole listening to mountain music to sitting out in the cold hours at a time just waiting for that big buck to come along.

Even though fishing and hunting was his passion, he was also a great craftsman and gardener. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jonas and Ella Poole; stepson, Justin Tinney; sisters, Barbara Myers and Annella Bain. Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Anglero Poole of the home; daughters, Amy Poole Jordan and husband Thomas of Albemarle, Ashley Poole of La Grange, Melissa Poole of Rosewood, Julia Poole of the home, Rachel Poole of the home; grandchildren, Joshua Betka and Hayden Fisher and brother, Franklin Wood Poole of Kinston.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Rogers officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Poole Family Cemetery.
