Obituary for John Hoffman Mr. John David Hoffman, 45, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Columbus in 1972, the son of Ernest L. and Connie Sue (Manning) Hoffman. Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, December 22 at 1 pm with Rev.

Steve Muster officiating. Burial will follow at Hayden Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday from 11 am until time of service.

He was a caregiver for mentally challenged inmates before becoming an officer with the Indiana Department of Corrections. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with friends and family and eating out. He collected knives, guns and American Indian memorabilia.

He also enjoyed repairing and selling jewelry. He is survived by his parents. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John G. and Doris J. Manning; and paternal grandparents, Clarence D. and Marjorie L. Hoffman.
