John G Rudd (Jack) passed away peacefully Monday, December 10, 2018, with his wife Kay, sons Rick, Dion, and Aaron and family at his side. He was welcomed by his son Jay into heaven with a giant group hug. Jack (82) was born on Christmas Eve 1936 to Peter and Lucille Wolf.

In his early years he lived between his Portuguese grandparents’ dairy in Yreka, California and the Jazz scene in the Bay area. In high school he played trumpet and directed gigs for his big band. Jack had four sons, Rick with first wife Terry followed by Jay and Aaron with Kay Ann Graham who he married on Dec.

11, 1973. They later welcomed Dion into the family when he was 8. While raising these boys, Jack worked in sales in the optical business.

He was a very good father and instilled in them a love of people, a passion for adventure—especially travel, skiing and football—and a deep faith. In 1977 Jack committed his life to Jesus. Together with Kay, he served people with disabilities.

He helped in the founding of Mountain Christian Fellowship in Murphys, CA and served The Fellowship Church in Sandy, Utah, and also in overseas missions. All around the world, you will hear from people who consider Jack a father in faith. Jack is survived by his wife and 3 sons, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

We invite you to celebrate his life with us on Sat. , Jan. 12th at 10 AM at The Fellowship Church, 615 E. Sego Lily Drive, Sandy, Utah.

Lunch will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s memory to The Fellowship for offsetting funeral expenses and ongoing ministry to the international community in Salt Lake City.
