John “Jeff”‘s Obituary John “Jeff” Maddy, 70, of Chillicothe, Ohio, formerly of Deering, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018, at his home. He was born January 2, 1948 to the late Everett and Helen (Holliday) Maddy. Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Ida L. (Simmons) Maddy, of Chillicothe; a daughter and son-in-law, Jaime (Chad) Matthews, of Huntington, WV; grandchildren Carter and Mallory, also of Huntington, WV; a sister-in-law, Lana (Dave) Savary, of Ironton, Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Don (Karen) Simmons, also of Ironton, Ohio.

John was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School, class of 1966 and went on to serve in the Naval Reserves. He worked for AEP for many years before his retirement, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Waverly, Ohio. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will be performed and there will be no public services.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Heartland Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice Care of Southern Ohio, 205 North Street, PO Box#400, Lucasville, Ohio 45648.
