Obituary for JOHN KENNETH DONALDSON DONALDSON, John Kenneth, age 101, of Monroe, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant of Monroe where he had resided for 19 years. He was born May 8, 1917 in Gore, Ohio. Ken served in W.W. II in the Army Air Corps.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University. He retired from the Department of Natural Res of the State of Ohio. He was a member of the Monroe Presbyterian Church.

Ken volunteered as an arborist at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village and enjoyed assisting others and hunting, fishing and trapping. Preceding him in death were his parents, Orland Vernon and Rose Christine (Bachman) Donaldson; his wife, Ann Elizabeth Donaldson in 2012; and one sister Bonnie Evans. He is survived by three children, Carol Marr, Nancy (Gordon) Nicely and Stephen Donaldson; two grandchildren, John Nicely and Andrew (Melanie) Nicely, and extended family and friends.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mary H. Kittredge Chapel, Ohio Mount Pleasant, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, Ohio 45050, followed by a service at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeri Baker and Chaplain Karen Fleming officiating. Private interment will be at the Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110.
