Obituary for John L. “Butch” Maola John L. “Butch” Maola, Jr., 78 EAST LIVERPOOL – John L. “Butch” Maola, Jr., of Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Heritage Valley Beaver. He was 78. Born in East Liverpool, March 18, 1940, he was a son on the late John L. Maola, Sr. and Betty Randolph Maola.

A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1958, Butch worked at the Columbiana County Highway Department for 35 years. He was a member of the CHVA Club and the Nettles Horseshoe Club. Butch was a member of numerous local organizations through the years and loved his friendships with fellow antique car owners.

His wife, Judy Bowersock Maola, survives at home. The couple married November 11, 1961. He also is survived by a son, Mark A. Maola of East Liverpool, two grandsons, Matt and Luke Maola and two great-granddaughters, Paizley and Carsyn Maola.

He also leaves his sisters and brothers-in-law: Norman and Red Chettle, Vonnie and Harry Swearingen, Margie and Dick Strong, Dick and Jeannie Bowersock, Gary and Chris Bowersock, Sherry and Roger Faulk, Sue and Larry Roberts, Bill and Deb Bowersock and Jim and Karen Bowersock, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Bailey. Friends may visit Monday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev.
