John’s Obituary Mr. John O. Hopper, a Dry Ridge resident, passed away at his residence surrounded by family on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the age of 79. On June 18, 1939, John was born in Williamstown, KY to the late Estill and Thelma Miller Hopper. On August 5, 1961, John married the love of his life, Eva Marshall.

They remained happily married for 57 years. In addition to his wife Eva, John is survived by one daughter, Melinda “Mindy” E. Roberts (Dennis) of Dry Ridge, KY, and one sister, Freda Steinagel (Bill) of Kalamazoo, MI. John was preceded in death by his daughter, Lois “Kim” Sanders and his sister, Barbara Hopper.

John was a retired Quality Control Inspector for Rotek Manufacturing for 40 years. He was a faithful member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ.

He loved to read books, was a Ky Colonel, outdoorsman, loved to farm, was a civil war and history enthusiast, loved to watch movies with his family as well as eat and try unique foods. Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 12-2pm at the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ in Cordova, KY.

Funeral will follow at 2pm. Bro. Larry Stiles will be officiating services.

Inurnment will be in the Williamstown cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in memory of John can be made to the Mt.
