Rita Mae Cleveland of Dry Ridge, Kentucky February 22, 1940 – March 26, 2019 Rita Mae Cleveland, 79, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Tuesday March 26, 2019 at her residence. Born Thursday February 22, 1940, in Cordova, KY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel Catherine Adams Callahan. On June 10, 1961 she was united in marriage to Luther Thomas “L.T.” Cleveland; he survives.

For many years she worked as a cook at Mickey’s Family Restaurant in Dry Ridge. She was commissioned a KY Colonel several years ago. Attending NASCAR Racing with her husband, in various states was one of her greatest enjoyments.

But her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she was lovingly and affectionately known by them as “Mama”. She was a member of the Violet Ridge Church of Christ. Survivors, in addition to her husband, “L.T.” include three sons: Tommy Cleveland of Williamstown, KY, Terry (Christa) Cleveland of Dry Ridge, KY, Jeff Cleveland of Erlanger, KY; three daughters: Karen (Tim) Barker, Amy Cleveland and Linda Cleveland, all of Dry Ridge, KY; two sisters: Linda Howe of Corinth and Lillian Perry of Norwood, OH.

Fifteen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson: Casey and a granddaughter: Tara; four brothers: Bill, Tommy, Bobby and Lee Callahan and two sisters: Alberta Snider and Anna Frances Thompson. A time of celebration for Rita’s live will be held at the convenience of the family.

Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown, KY has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
