Dawn Tuggle of Sparta, Kentucky March 7, 1961 – March 30, 2019 Dawn Tuggle, 58, a resident of New Liberty Road in Sparta, KY, passed away Saturday March 30, 2019 at Gallatin Nursing and Rehab Center following a long battle with a brain tumor. Born March 7, 1961 in Wurzburg, Germany; she was the daughter of Richard Earl Morehead and the late Isabel Jane Stahl Morehead. On April 19, 2012, she was united in marriage at Pleasant Ridge Baptist in Owenton to Wayne Tuggle.

She was a Production Specialist at Dorman’s in Warsaw. Dawn’s heart and love was in horse training and trail riding. She loved the farm and everything about the farm; she also enjoyed raising sheep and goats.

When she wasn’t spending time with her animals, she enjoyed making handmade baskets. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Wayne, include her father Richard Morehead of Piner, KY; one step-son: Kevin Tuggle of Jonesville, KY; two brothers: Jeffrey (Madelyn) Morehead of South Carolina, Greg (Lori) Morehead of Piner, KYand one sister: Diana Sissel of Piner, KY. Three grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Mam Maw”, Dillon, Kellyann and Carson also survive.

She held her church membership at Grassy Creek Christian Church but up until failing health, she attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Owenton. Visitation will be Wednesday April 3, 2019 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona beginning at 5:00 until 8:00. Funeral services will be Thursday April 4 at 11:00 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Homes.

Burial will be in Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
