John Paul Blasavage of Naugatuck, a dear brother, uncle and friend, passed away on April 23rd, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born in West Pittston, PA on Feb. 13, 1928 to John and Margaret Blasavage.

He was one of eight children. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Irene Kailukaitis, his brothers in-law Henry and Edward Dominick, and his long-time friend Mary Ross. John will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Eleanor Dominick, Margaret Dominick and his brothers Eugene, Edward, George and Paul.

He had many nieces, nephews and friends who will cherish memories of his quirky sense of humor, philosophical talks, fishing trips and golf outings. He brought a smile to everyone he met. John served his country proudly during World War II in the Air Force and Navy.

A Funeral Service in memory of John will be held on Thursday , April 26th at 10:00 a.m., at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home 240 North Main Street Naugatuck Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 to 10:00. A.M. Interment will follow in the family plot at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of John to the American Cancer Society.
