John T. Godfrey, 64, of New Britain, husband of Jill (Stiles) Godfrey, passed away Wednesday (March 27, 2019) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Hartford, he was a former Berlin resident, moving to New Britain 29 years ago. He was employed at the Rabinow Company, Pro-Mold in Portland and later at CT Tire in New Britain.

He was a member of St. Paul Church in Kensington; the Loyal Order of Moose in Kensington; and was an avid NASCAR and Stafford Motor Speedway fan. Besides his wife Jill, he leaves a daughter, Kimberly Godfrey of New Britain; a step-daughter, Corinne Santi, also of New Britain; a sister, Peggy Lenares of East Windsor; several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his foster mother, Mary Chambrello, his biological parents Leonard and Corinne Godfrey, as well as a brother Robert Godfrey.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday (April 3, 2019) 2 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
