John married Karen Jones Napier on December 27, 1994 in Kennett, Missouri. Survivors include: His wife: Karen Nichols of Kennett, Missouri One son: Jason Nichols of Kennett, Missouri Step-son: Alex Napier and Tracie of Nesbit, Mississippi One grandchild: Nealy Jones Napier Two brothers: Phil Nichols of Griffith, Indiana Stanley Nichols and Renee of Atlanta, Georgia One sister: Teresa Elise Harlan and Mike of Vidalia, Georgia Other relatives and friends.

John was of Kennett, Missouri and a member of the VFW, Missouri Bar Association, A Troop Leader Boy Scout and a member of Optimist Club. John served his country in the United States Army. Visitation will be 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Missy Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri.
