Lola Armitage February 02, 1921 – March 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Lola Marie Compton Armitage, was born February 2, 1921 in Corning, Arkansas to the late Arthur and Effie (Hume) Compton. Lola married Oral Armitage September 17, 1946. Loving mother of two children Oral Edgar (Eddie) Armitage and Linda (Armitage) Plunkett.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son. A loving Mother-in-law to Glenda (Howard) Spicer. God presented her later in life with the special opportunity to provide a mother’s love to her sister’s children: Debra (Burdin) Howe and Sue (Burdin) Regier.

She was a loving Aunt to Darlene (Burdin) Smart, Marie (Burdin) Minyard and Brenda (Burdin) Williams and helped to raise them as well. Her grandchildren include Travis (Katie) Lipsey, Darrin Lipsey, Cynda (Brian) Armitage Moore, Larry (Angie) Plunkett, Jr., Terry (Jill) Plunkett, Julie (Nathan) Plunkett Coleman. She was also Grandma Lola to great nephews: Adam Davis, Josh Sullinger, Jake Sullinger and Cody Howe and to great niece Angela (Davis) Robertson who preceded her in death.

She had 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Nephews: Olen Porter and Richard Compton Nieces: Alma Porter Crown, Vana Porter Mitchell, Sallie Compton and Gerry Compton Corrin. She was also preceded in death by one brother W. C, “Bill” Compton, three sisters: Marjorie Compton, Peggie (Green) Burdin and Myrtle (Compton) Porter.

Lola passed away March 11, 2019 in Kennett, Missouri. She was a member of Ely Baptist Church in Kennett, Missouri. Visitation will be 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, March 14,2019 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Matthew Kamper officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Travis Lipsey, Darrin Lipsey, Larry Plunkett Jr., Terry Plunkett, Adam Davis, Cody Howe, Josh Sullinger and Jake Sullinger.

Honorary pallbearers: Will Lipsey, Nathan Lipsey, Issac Moore, Samuel Moore, Justin Moore, Larry Plunkett, III, Zack Plunkett, Grant Plunkett, Hays Coleman, Ethan Tinnin, Aiden Sullinger and Anderson Sullinger. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St.Francis, Arkansas. McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
