Obituary for John Chalupa John Chalupa age 79, passed peacefully on Tuesday September 4, 2018. He was born June 28th, 1939 in Upper Milford Township to Michal and Anna Chalupa and was the sister to Mary Wisniewski. John was a 1957 graduate of Allentown High School.

John later enlisted in the United States Army in 1958 and was honorable discharged December of 1963, in which time he was stationed and met and married Rosa Dubar in Panama. John later pursued his dream as a professional chef and obtained his diploma in “Advanced Training Chef” in 1965 from Culinary Institute of America, then located in Connecticut. John also furthered his education in his mid 40’s and received a bachelors degree from the University of New Haven in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

John enjoyed playing the drums not only in the military but as a hobby in a wedding band in his 30’s. Our father John truly fulfilled his life through simple pleasures, eye rolling corny jokes, sharing and serving God. John has touched many lives around him through Christ.

He volunteered for the church and made food for his neighbors in need. John is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Holmes and Christine Marie Chalupa and his only grandaughter Summer Nicole Holmes. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, where friends will be received after11:30 am in the Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Road, Warminster, PA 18974.

Interment will be held in Connecticut. Family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in John’s memory.
