Obituary for Jon Lockett A Celebration of Life for Jon Lockett, age 62, of Hideaway, Texas and Lindale, Texas is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Judge James Cowart officiating. Lifelong friends, Cliff Clay and Lynn Morris, will be providing eulogies at the service. Jon passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.

He was born in Pittsburg, Texas on November 12, 1955 to the late Ingram Byrd “Buster” and Nell (Strother) Lockett, and was a lifelong resident of Hideaway and Lindale, Texas. Jon co-owned and operated EasTex Insurance Agency in Tyler, and was an avid golfer and Dallas Cowboy fan. He was a member of the Van Zandt Country Club, and was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bobby and Charles Lockett.

Jon is survived by his wife, Pennie Lockett of Hideaway, Texas; daughter & son-in-law, Elise and Zach Elliott of Tyler, Texas; son, Carson Kelly of Hideaway, Texas; sister, Elizabeth Starr of Lago Vista, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Vivienne Grace Elliott and Brian Elliott of Tyler, Texas.
