Jon Phillip Mossman, 73, of Gifford, Iowa passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at his home in Gifford. Jon Mossman’s wishes were to have private family services. Burial will be at the Eldora City Cemetery in Eldora, Iowa.

Jon Phillip Mossman was born October 10, 1945 to Laurel and Frances [Stewart] Mossman in Eldora, Iowa. He attended the Eldora community School District graduating in 1963. After high school he attended the Yankton College in South Dakota, graduating with an associates degree.

Always proud to tell people that his college turned into a prison later on! During his life he worked for Dodger Industries, eventually becoming the warehouse manager. Jon was very good at woodworking and building cabinets, a hobby which he loved to do in his free time.

Jon Mossman was a very loving grandpa, enjoying his time spent with his grandkids. Jon Phillip Mossman is survived by his children: Chad [Karen] Mossman of Lakewood, Colorado; Brent [Annie] Mossman of New Sharon, Iowa and five grandchildren; a former daughter-in-law: Heidi Mossman of Iowa Falls, Iowa and grandson: Ryan Mossman of Iowa Falls; a brother: Samuel [Vicki] Mossman of Greeley, Colorado; a sister: Susan [Lee] Martinson of Excelsior, Minnesota. Jon Mossman was preceded in death by his parents: Laurel and Frances Mossman; two sisters: Diane Isenhower and Judy Mossman; and a companion: Doris Neymeyer.
