Obituary for Jonathon Dale Morris Jonathon Dale “Jon” Morris, 26, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018. He was born December 10, 1991 in Lancaster, the son of Sarenia Missy Morris Beckham and Derick Cauthen. Jon enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.

He had interests in many areas. He was a devoted father who loved to spend time with his son, Colton. Jon also loved to cook.

He enjoyed rock and roll music and playing the drums. His favorite outdoor activities were fishing, hunting, playing golf and watching Alabama football. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jon will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

James Faile officiating. Burial will be private. Jon is survived by his wife, Jessica Ellis Morris of Lancaster; a son, Colton Adam Morris of Lancaster; his mother and father, Missy Beckham and Derick Cauthen of Lancaster; two sisters, Jessica M. Griffin and her fiancé Antwain Miller and Kimberly Kennington and her husband Justin all of Lancaster; maternal grandmother, Joyce Peagler “Mamie; an uncle, Quincy Peagler, Jr.and his wife Amanda; five nieces, Kailynn and Dakota Sadler, Kaylee Ann Stroud, Peyton and Mallory Smith; two nephews, Grayson Stroud and Brantley Adkins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Quincey Peagler “Pop”; and great-grandmother, Nellie Arant “Maw Maw”. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jon and Jessica. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
