Taft – Jorge P. Saldivar passed away peacefully on March 3, 2019 with his loving family at his side. He was 69. Jorge was born August 27, 1949 in Taft, Texas to Anita (Pedroza) and Ramon Saldivar.

He was a lifelong resident of Taft. He was a retired Truck Driver. Preceding in death are his parents: Anita (Pedroza) and Ramon Saldivar; brothers: Roman Saldivar, Antonio Saldivar, and Rolando Saldivar.

Survivors include his wife: Marta Saldivar of Taft, Texas; son: Ricardo Saldivar (Nora) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter: Terry Mejia (Francisco) of Alvin, Texas and Marisa Saldivar (Jason Martinez) of Taft Texas; brothers: Rafael Saldivar and Eliseo Saldivar (Linda) both of Taft, Texas; sisters: Adela Esquivel, Estella Gonzales (Raul), Gloria Pena, Anita Chavez (Lupe) and Dahlia Saldivar, all of Taft, Texas; and 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 8, 2019, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft, Texas. Interment will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft. Guestbook and video available online at www.
