Jose J Rivera, of Metuchen, passed away on July 22, 2018, at JFK hospital in Edison surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dorado, Puerto Rico and resided in Bronx, NY before moving to Metuchen 11 years ago. He was a Accountant for Trinitas Hospital for 10 years.

Jose is predeceased by his parents Jose and Rosa Rivera. Surviving are his wife of 20 years Jacqueline Rivera, his daughter Jaylene Rivera, his brothers Hector Rivera and Ferdinand Rivera, his sister-in-law Maria Hernandez-Rivera and his nephew Steven K. Rivera. Jose loved sports especially the NY Yankees and NY Giants, he had a wonderful sense of humor and always made people laugh.

He was very handy helping people whenever he could but most of all he loved his family and spending time with his daughter. Visitation will be Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 12 noon to 4:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road Edison, NJ. Funeral Services Monday, July 30, 2018 8:30AM at the Funeral Home followed by a 9:30AM Mass at St John Vianney Church, Colonia, NJ.

Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
