Joseph A. “Joe” Snyder, 74, Hollidaysburg, died at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of the late Charles F. and Lillian M. (Snyder) Schneider. Surviving are two brothers: Donald E. and James A. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian M. Snyder.

Joe was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, and he retired as a truck driver for Slinks. He served in the U.S. Army as an E-5 in Vietnam, then returned to Fort Jackson, Virginia, then returned home to Hollidaysburg. He was a member of his local VFW, fire deptartment and American Legion.

He was a Methodist and loved working in the yard, his truck and he mostly loved oil painting by number. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Sorge Funeral home Inc., Hollidaysburg. In lieu of flowers, please send prayers for Joe.
