Joseph Brian Smithers, 33, of Salyersville, died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Left Hand Fork of Johnson in Magoffin County. He was born July 20, 1984 in Prestonsburg to Kathy and Jeff Smithers. Joseph was a native of Salyersville where he was of the Pentecostal Faith.

He enjoyed; fishing, camping, working on cars, singing, grilling rib eye steaks and most of all, spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. Survivors include; his parents Kathy Smithers of Salyersville and Jeff Smithers (Debbie) of Wellington, one son Joseph Dominic of Salyersville, one daughter Samara Smithers of Salyersville, two brothers Jeffery Rubin Smithers of Salyersville and Robert Colman (Lisa) of Lexington, one sister Ladena Smithers of Salyersville and three nephew’s Cashdunn Arnett, Joshua Gage Shepherd and Jacedunn Grant Shepherd all of Salyersville.
