Joseph M. Chirco 1938-2018 Joseph M. Chirco passed away on April 29, 2018 at his home in Napa. He was born on May 4, 1938 in Los Angeles to Italian immigrants Antonio and Vincenza Chirco. He came to Napa in 1972 where he met and married Sheila Morgan.

They were married until Sheila’s death in 2010. Joe worked at Napa State Hospital for 26 years as a psych tech. He also proudly served as a Reserve police officer for the Napa Police Department from 1975 to 1992, achieving the rank of lieutenant.

Joe received the Officer of the Year award in April 1985. Joe is survived by his step children, Dan Morgan and Penny Igarashi, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family would especially like to thank Joe’s caring neighbors and friends, Connie and Richard Max for all their help and friendship to Joe in the years after his wife Sheila’s passing.

A graveside service will be held at the Pat Wiggins Memorial scatter garden at Tulocay Cemetery on May 19th at 11:30 a.m. Condolences can be made to the family online at www. tulocaycemetery.org.
