Cumberland – Joseph J. Aldorisio, 69, of Cumberland passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at home with his husband, Gilmore S. Morrison by his side. Joe and Gil have been together for the past 37 ½ years. Born in Waterbury, CT, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Polletto) Aldorisio, he had lived in Cumberland for the past 35 years.

Joe was employed by the State of Rhode Island for 30 years. He started working for the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training before becoming the Deputy Director of the Rhode Island Division of Vital Statistics, where he worked for 28 years before retiring in 2004. He was a graduate of Providence College.

He was a dog lover. Gil is his only immediate survivor. His funeral services and burial will be private.
