of North Providence, passed away on Monday May 14, 2018 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Turchetta) Martino for 57 years. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Salvatore and Assunta (Lombardi) Martino.
Joseph operated the Joseph Martino Real Estate Office in the heart of Federal Hill and was voted the Federal Hill Commerce Association’s Distinguished Award in 2014. Joe was also the former President of the Auto Body Association of Rhode Island. He was the devoted father of Salvatore Martino and Susan Martino both of North Providence and Valerie Martino-Sepe and Cranston Democratic City Chair Michael J. Sepe and daughter in-law Roseann Martino and the late Joseph, Steven and David Martino; loving grandfather of Dannah Mallozzi and (Edward) Miranda Martino, Nicola Manfredo (Nicholas) Ashley Rotolo (Luca) and Kristen Martino; loving great-grandfather of Zachary and Joshua Mallozzi and Isabella Rotolo.
He was the dear brother of Olga Wilmot and the late Anna Samuelian, Rose Greco and Vincenzo (Sonny) Martino. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church 1525 Cranston St. Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visiting hours are Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: National Kidney Foundation 85 Astor Avenue-Suite 2 Norwood, MA 02062.
