Joseph P. Kurtz, 84, of Doctors Lane, Penfield, PA, died, June 13, 2018. He was born on October 7, 1933 in Sykesville, PA to the late Joseph and Blanche (Likilski) Kurtz. Besides his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Seduski) Kurtz; 4 sisters, Dorothy, Evelyn, Florence and Edith.

He is survived by his brother, Gary Kurtz and his sisters, Pauline Smith, Margaret Wolff and Delores Krach. He was a graduate of Sandy High School and had worked as a Die setter for Pure Carbon for 47 years. During the Korean War, Joe served in the Army Paratrooper and volunteered for the 11th Airborne Division.

There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian, celebrant. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the SPCA and will be accepting online condolences at www. nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com. The Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield has been entrusted with final arrangements.
