Obituary for Mr. Joseph Wheeler Mr. Joseph “Lionel” Wheeler Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Joseph “Lionel” Wheeler, 75, who entered eternal rest, Friday, May 25, 2018 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park. Mr. Wheeler is survived by three daughters, Angela Wheeler Kennerson (Steve) of Opelousas, LA, Pamela Wheeler Coleman (Willie) of Youngsville, LA and Kimberly Wheeler George (Sam) of Opelousas, LA; six grandchildren, Haley, Caleb, Caden, Karley, Stephen and Kenzi; three step-grandchildren, Tellus, Jazz and Adaisha; four sisters, Novaline Wheeler Willis (Hardy), Maxine Wheeler Guillory (Antoine), Donna Gail Wheeler Jackson all of Opelousas, LA and Carol Sue Wheeler Burns, of Houston TX; his step-father, Ernest Guillory of Opelousas, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine “Joy” Arvie Wheeler; parents, Granville Wheeler & Marie “Vester” Stelly Wheeler; two brothers, John Winston Wheeler and Ignatius Wheeler and a sister, Theresa “Sis” Jason. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM.
