Joseph William Coshun, 87, of Union Bridge, Maryland died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 16, 2018 at home. Born December 4, 1930 in Sparrows Point, Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph Albert and Violet May (Biddinger) Coshun. He was the husband of 65 years to Betty Jane (Miller) Coshun.

Bill was a life-long farmer in Carroll County and was very active with the Carroll County 4-H program. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Mt.

Zion (Haugh’s) Lutheran Church in Ladiesburg and the Plymouth Masonic Lodge #143 in Union Bridge. Surviving in addition to his wife are son, William Allen Coshun and wife Jean of Union Bridge; daughter, Sherie Lynn Coale and husband Steve of Boynton Beach, FL; grandchildren, Kristy Marie Coale and Joseph Allen Coshun; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Mt.

Zion (Haugh’s) Lutheran Church, 11504 Haughs Church Rd. , Keymar, with the Rev. Dave Bare officiating.

Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
