Joseph Wilson March 25, 1945 – May 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Joseph (Joe) Wilson was born on March 25, 1945 and passed away on May 11, 2019. He was a resident of Cedar Fort, Utah at the time of his passing. Joe was born to the late C. Walter and Elna H. Wilson-the fourth of five children.

After he graduated from Bountiful High School in 1962, he attended Trade Tech Community College on a scholarship. He worked for Wheeler Machinery for 31 years, and then became self-employed as Wilson Mechanical Services-if you needed to know how to build an intake manifold from a solid block of aluminum, he was your guy. Everyone knew that Joe had “the part” you needed or he would build it.

He also enjoyed working on and modifying cars along with racing jeeps with his family. Joe married Sandra Wilson on November 15, 1984-the love of his life. They lived in West Valley City, UT, Reno, NV, Coosbay, OR, and Redding, CA before settling down in Cedar Fort, UT.

He is survived by four children: Stephenie (Jason) Echols, Christian (Kelly) Black, Tyler (Rhonda) Filby, and Jessica Wilson. Papa Joe is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 4:00-5:00 pm at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street, Lehi, Utah with a viewing prior from 3:00-4:00 pm.

The Viewing for friends and family will be held Wednesday May 15, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm also at Wing Mortuary, Lehi. Interment, Cedar Fort Cemetery.
