Mrs. Josephine Maynor Jacobs, 72, of Fayetteville was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Josephine was born and raised in Dunn, NC, working on farm with her parents and siblings. She attended Maple Grove School in Dunn.

Josephine and her family moved to Fayetteville in her late teenage years and she attended Les Maxwell School in Fayetteville. She met the love of her life, Archie Lee Jacobs in Fayetteville, they were married May 20, 1960, and raised four beautiful children and seven precious grandbabies. Josephine retired from Black and Decker after working there for almost 30 years.

She was also the co-owner of Jacobs’ Garage and Small Engine Repair, which she ran with her husband, Archie. She was a faithful member of Galilee Freewill Holiness Church where she served her Lord and Savior in many different capacities in the church. She was preceded in death by her father, Claudie Maynor, Sr.; her mother, Hattie Smith Maynor; her brothers, Claudie “Jr”.

Maynor and Willie Franklin Maynor; two sisters, Ethel Mae Lovette and Mable Aline Burnette and her son-in-law, Henry Thomas Hunt. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Archie Lee Jacobs of the home; two daughters, Phyllis Jacobs Hunt of Stedman and Michelle Jacobs Emanuel and husband, Jimmy of Autryville; two sons, Rodney Lee Jacobs of Fayetteville and Prince Lee Jacobs and wife, Nicole of Vander; two sisters, Doris Maynor Norton and husband, Rev. Cleo of Lumberton and Eloise Maynor Morgan and husband, Rev.

Glenn of Roseboro; two brothers, Johnnie Steven Maynor and wife, Louise of High Point and Bobby Ray Maynor of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Brandy Nicole Locklear, Angel Nicole Brueckman, Seth Matthews Jacobs, Mariah Danielle Chavis, Mikiah Colby Jacobs, Mercedes Khaleesi Jacobs and Marielle Faith Jacobs; and a host of nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives. Josephine was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and deeply cared for all of her extended family, friends and her church family. She was a compassionate woman who had a heart of gold and never met a stranger; sharing the love of her Lord and Savior and that she was a “Blessed Woman”.

The family will receive friends from 7 pm to 9 pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Galilee Freewill Holiness Church 3525 Sunnyside School Rd, Fayetteville. Burial at Cumberland Memorial Gardens Cemetery will follow the service.
