Mr. Newell Chavis, Sr, age 77, of 7555 Debbie Street, Fayetteville, NC departed this life on Monday, September 24, 2018. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 28th at 1:00 PM in the Beauty Spot Missionary Baptist Church. Burial: TBA He leaves to cherish his loving memories: wife, Geraldine Chavis, sons, Derrick Chavis, Newell Chavis, Jr. and Gerald Chavis; daughter, Dawn Chavis; brothers, Vertis Chavis and Allen Chavis; seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be a viewing Thursday, September 27th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wiseman Mortuary.
