Obituary of Jose Flores With great sadness, the family of Joe Ruiz Flores announces his passing, on November 23, 2018. Joe Ruiz Flores was born October 23, 1945 in Durango, Mexico. Joe was a Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin, Godfather and Friend who passed away at the age of 72 surrounded by his loved ones.

Joe is survived by two Daughters and three Sons, Monica Flores, Jose Flores, Ana Cristina Flores Dominguez, Eric Flores ( wife Irma Gomez Flores) and even though he was not his actual son but loved him as such Octavio Orozco ( Brother to his children). Joe is also survived by his ten grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his five Sisters Patricia, Evelina, Martha, Grace, Rosemary and his seven brothers Salvador, Frank, Carlos,Hector, John, Jesse and Arturo.

He also had a sister, Mary who with his mother Leonor and father Salvador has welcomed him with open arms in heaven Joe has been a resident of Los Banos, California for the last ten to fifteen years but was no stranger to the area’s of Gilroy and Hollister. He has an extension of his family in different areas of California, Arizona, Texas and Mexico. Joe had a passion for creating beautiful works of art with his trade as a mason with brick and rock.

He joined the U.S Army and served the rest of his military career in the U.S National Guard. He also was known for his love of cars, music, dancing, fishing, western movies and cooking. Joe cherished spending time with his family as much as he could, family meant everything to him.

His wishes were to be cremated and burial at a later date. The Hollister VA will perform the Honors Ceremony at the service held Friday at 2 pm to 4 pm November 30th. It will be open to the public.
