Joyce A. Sebranek, 65, of Richland Center passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born on February 10, 1953 at the Richland Hospital to Francis and Elaine (Hanko) Wertz. After graduating from Richland Center High School in 1971, she attended college and worked at the Richland Medical Center for 28 years.

She married Calvin Sebranek on June 15, 1974 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. Together, they farmed in Gillingham, raised a family and participated in community events. … Read More » Joyce and Calvin were named the Richland County Outstanding Young Farmers.

Joyce enjoyed baking, vegetable & flower gardening and taking care of her family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Parish Council of Catholic Women, Richland County Farm Wives and was a 4-H Leader for 20 years. Joyce is survived by her loving and dedicated husband Calvin; her son Tim (his wife Lacy) Sebranek, their children Mackenzie, Logan, Tyler, Athena and Calin; her daughter Kimberly (her husband James) Spencer, their children Shawn, Aaron, Alex, Riley and Danicka; her son Terry (his wife Jenna) Sebranek and their twins Declan and Desirae; and her brother Gary (and his wife Deby) Wertz, all of Richland Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Richland Center at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 9th with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Monday evening, October 8th at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. A parish rosary will be prayed on Monday, October 8 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel at 3:45 PM.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Our House Memory Care in Richland Center for all the wonderful care given to Joyce. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service of Richland Center is assisting the family.
