Joyce Ann Dittert July 15, 1939 – January 31, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Joyce Ann Dittert, 79, wife of Curtis Dittert, passed away January 31, 2019 in Bryan. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin, with Pastor Ken Weiss officiating. A private burial service will be held later.

The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Joyce Ann Dittert was born July 15, 1939 in the Burleigh community of Austin County to Joe Frank and Ella M. (Burlingame) Peters. On September 6, 1958, she was married to Curtis Dittert.

Joyce lovingly took care of her family as a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Dittert of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law Sharon and John Dean of Bellaire, and Kathy and Bill Palmer of Austin; grandchildren: Harrison Palmer, John Dean, Jr., Zachary Palmer and wife Jordan, James Dean, and Madison Palmer; sister-in-law, Jeanie Peters; sister Geraliene Boehme of New Ulm; sister and brother-in-law Alice and Lew Ellyn Gross of New Ulm; brother-in-law, Bobby Strauss of Sealy; brother-in-law Kermit Dittert and wife Vernell of Sealy. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Patsy Anders, Peggy Strauss, Ernie Gross, Nancy Wunderlich, Jan Pecht, Perry Strauss, Karen Schomburg, Bruce Dittert, as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ella Peters; sister, Betty Strauss; brother, Frankie Peters, and brother-in-law, Calvin Boehme. Serving as pallbearers are Harrison Palmer, John Dean, Jr., Zachary Palmer, James Dean, Ernie Gross, Perry Strauss, and Bruce Dittert. Memorials may be directed to Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church, 356 South Berlin Road, Brenham, Tx.
