DANTE, VIRGINIA – Joyce Ann Hurd, 76, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her home. She was born in Dickenson County, Virginia; daughter of the late Willard and Lonie Mullins Hale. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Marshall and Kimberly Dawn Threatt; one sister, Lois Hamilton; and three brothers, Leon Hale, Roy Hale and Milborn Hale.

She is survived by her three daughters, Judy Marshall of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Sherry Amos of Bristol, Virginia and Angela Mahady of Dante, Virginia; five sons, Johnny Marshall of Denton, North Carolina, Timothy Threatt of Newport, Tennessee, Michael Threatt of Richlands, Virginia, Thomas Threatt of Dante, Virginia and Otis Strouth of St. Paul, Virginia; special friend, Darrell Hurd of Dante, Virginia; one brother, Johnny Strouth of St. Paul, Virginia; several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Graveside Service and Interment for Joyce Ann Hurd will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019 in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum – Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Bill Crawford officiating.
