Joyce C. Core, 87, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Villa Vista. She was born July 6, 1931 in Canton, Ohio the daughter of the late Gilbert & Thelma Runkle. She was a retired switchboard operator at the former St. John Medical Center.

Preceding Joyce in death were her infant son Gabriel and brother Jack Runkle. Joyce is survived by her devoted husband Frank E. Core; two sons Frankie Core of Willowick, Ohio & Michael W. Core of Steubenville; three grandchildren Rachel, Brianna & Anthony and great grandson Dante. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Monday 4-6 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Msgr.

Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 OR Shriners Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
