Shirley J. Wallace, 86, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Valley Hospice. She was born July 5, 1932 in Nanty Glo, PA the daughter of the late Clay & Edna Jane Daly Long. She was a member and former secretary of Grace Lutheran Church; O.E.S. LaBelle Chapter 414 and Weirton Chapter 147; and Social Order of the Beauceant, Steubenville #57.

Preceding Shirley in death were two brothers John & Edwin Long. Shirley is survived by her husband John F. Wallace, whom she married June 12, 1971; daughters Linda (Mike) Burke, Susan (Alan) Sampson, Julie (Jim) O’Brien, Melissa (Greg) Turick & Amy (Rob) Westlake; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Valley Hospice staff for their compassionate and excellent care.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Friday 4-7 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Michael Heckathorn officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben.

O.E.S. services 6:45 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church.
