Colleen M. “Dee” Barnes, 61, of Steubenville, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Valley Hospice. She was born July 20, 1957 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Nelson and Dorothy Guess Gregor.

Also preceding her in death are her husband, Richard Barnes and brother, Nelson Gregor. Colleen was retired from Steubenville Catholic Central High School. Colleen was a graduate of the former St. Edwards Catholic High School Amsterdam.

She loved crafting, woodworking and spontaneous day trips. Surviving are three daughters, April (Scot) Welshans, Charla Barnes (Brad Smiley) both of Lexington, KY and Ainslie Oiler of Steubenville; brother, Robert (Terri) Gregor of Columbus; three sisters, Lynette (Carl) Griffin of Columbus, Terri Zapor (John Buzzard) of Mansfield, OH, and Chris (Jeff) Mader of Amsterdam; one grandson Owen; many nieces and nephews; step- mother, Elaine Gregor of Steubenville; brother- in- law, Les Zapor of Wintersville and close friend, Linda Adkins. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-6 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd.
