Emerson A. McGrew, 82, of Richmond, OH passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018. He was born in Jefferson County, OH on April 13, 1936 a son of the late George W. and Cora Lash McGrew. He was a graduate of Wintersville High School class of 1954 and West Liberty College.

From an early age Emerson was trained to respect God and follow the teachings of the scriptures as understood by Jehovah’s Witnesses. He spent his entire life proclaiming the good news of God’s Kingdom through the public ministry. In August of 1957 he married Leah A. Ignace and they had two children; Eric (Alison) and Rhonda; grandchild Meghan (Ben) Sharp and great grandchild Evan.

In addition to his parents Emerson was preceded in death by his sisters; Violet White, Dorothy Harms and Ethel Findlay; brothers George F. and Joseph L. and five infant siblings. For secular employment Emerson spent 10 years as an employee of Public Finance and 27 years with federal employment in the Treasury Department. Emerson has selected cremation as his final disposition in this system.
