Mary Catherine Steele, 96, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at The Wyngate. She was born April 24, 1922 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Cornelius & Mary Haupt Sweeney. Mary Catherine was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and retired from the Brooke County School System.

Preceding her in death were her husband Thomas J. Steele, Sr., an infant son and daughter; and one sister Margaret Reaves. Mary Catherine is survived by her son Thomas J. Steele, Jr. of Norman, OK; one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. Committal Services and Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Mt.
