Michael L. Layman, 70, of Mingo Jct. died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born June 20, 1948 in Steubenville.

He is the son of the late Stanley and Marjorie Lewis Layman. Also preceding him in death is one brother, Stanley Layman. Michael was the plant foreman for Sal Chemical and later worked for The National Colloid Co

He was a graduate of Mingo High School class of 1966. He was also a member of the Elk’s Club in Weirton. Michael proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife Patty Fisher Layman, whom he married June 22, 1978; one daughter, Shannon (Joseph) Radosevich of Carnegie; two grandchildren, Mia and Evan. Michael’s wishes were to be cremated with no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
