Obituary for Joyce Cleone Tillotson Robertson Joyce Cleone Tillotson Robertson Our dear mother, Joyce Cleone Tillotson Robertson returned home to her cherished husband, parents, and other loved ones on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Joyce was the adored youngest child born to Porter Squires and Buena May Anderson Tillotson on October 16, 1933. At the time of her birth, her older siblings were Helen (12 years), Marion (6 years), and Joseph (9 years).

The family lived in Ogden, Utah but later moved to Denver, Colorado where Joyce graduated from high school and met her husband James Lyman Robertson. They were married on May 15, 1952 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Jim and Joyce began their family in Pasadena and San Diego, California and returned to Brigham City, Utah, later moving to South Ogden and then to Bountiful.

Joyce supported her family’s active lifestyle and enjoyed the togetherness their frequent activities created. She doted over her beloved late husband and her four children: Jim of Kaysville, UT; Kim Malan of Provo, UT; Kent of San Clemente, CA; and Barry of Farmington, UT who have been the luckiest people on earth to have been the recipients of her love, care, nurturing, encouragement, and her healthy, comfortable home. Joyce, though of quiet disposition, was well known for her remarkable appearance.

She was blessed with a natural beauty that she enhanced with her interest in fashion trends that even in her final years, afflicted by Alzheimer’s disease, was a keen interest of hers. Indeed, her sweet disposition, a feature that endeared her to many fast and loyal friends, was one thing that Alzheimer’s disease did not take from her. Joyce’s proudest achievements and eternal delights are her 4 children, 20 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren – so far.

She was an adamant believer in the faith of her fathers and in the joy of seeing the baton passed to the rising generations of a firm foundation in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is what she said would be her best reward for a life well lived. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 15, at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Birch Creek 4th Ward, 4955 Adams Avenue, South Ogden, Utah 84403 We want to thank those who served our mother (and father) so lovingly at Heartfelt Assisted Living in Centerville.
